Cinnamon Bourbon Cranberry Sauce with Candied Jalapeños

Ingredients

1 12 oz bag of fresh cranberries

¾ cup orange juice

3 tbs bourbon

¼ cup water

1 cup sugar

1 tbs vanilla extract

1 cinnamon stick or ½ tsp of cinnamon

The tiniest pinch of salt (optional)

1/3 cup (more or less to taste) chopped candied jalapenos

Instructions

  1. Rinse your cranberries and add to a large pot.

  2. Add sugar, OJ, water and bring to a boil.

  3. Once boiling, reduce heat and add bourbon, vanilla and cinnamon.

  4. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. I added a tiny pinch of salt for flavor- totally optional.

  5. Once thickened, add chopped candied jalapenos and serve with a couple peppers as garnish.
